National Rally – Barmera SA – March/April 2023
The National rally is coming up in March. Murray River flooding has made the are very wet and organisers will assess the situation. With a few months to go things should dry out a bit.
Sadly the 2022 event was postponed to 2023 due to COVID concerns. Below is the letter sent by the organisers to all original attendees.
Dear Attendees, Sponsors and Supporters,
At today’s committee meeting of the 18th National Caravan Clubs Rally 2022, it was passed to postpone the scheduled rally from March 28th – 6th April 2022 TO Monday March 27th – Tuesday 4th April 2023 (9 nights) with departure on Wednesday April 5.
After many years of planning, this decision has not been made lightly but after much deliberation, discussion and considering the current evolving Covid-19 pandemic and restrictions put into place by our governments.
We have received and are still receiving many cancellations from concerned attendees due to the current situation that exists.
We as a committee believe that we have made a responsible decision considering the health, safety, and well-being of our attendees and of course the local community.
The committee is committed to holding the event in South Australia and we are asking our attendees, sponsors, and supporters to also remain committed to enable this major event to continue and promote the Riverland and South Australia.
We feel that by next year we will get a better understanding as to what course the pandemic will take and be more confident in presenting the best national rally possible which hopefully will see an increase in attendance.
Our committee members will follow up with attendees, sponsors, and supporters in the near foreseeable future to ensure all is in place for this great event in 2023.
